Well it depends on how late your period is. I have 2 kids and have been pregnant 5 times. All 5 times the tests were quite accurate. I took my tests after 5 days of being late.

They are extremely accurate. The best way to take them is in the morning when you urinate for the first time. This time is when HgH, a pregnancy hormone these tests look for, is at it's highest. The tests are nearly foolproof.

In both my pregnancies they were very accurate, and as a previous poster said... it's way more likely to get a false negative then a false positive.

Good luck!

They are about as sensitive as the ones in the doctor's office. I actually took a home test and then one at the hospital, and the one at the hospital was negative. But...then two days later I took another that the hospital and it was positive. So, yeah. They are pretty dang accurate.

99% when taken correctly. Read the package instructions for accuracy prior to your missed period and for instructions on how to correctly perform the test. Following the correct procedure is important.
