IVF gives an increased chance at twins. Some fertility drugs do increase your risk slightly. Like Clomid - the risk is so low that some doctors don't really think it increases your chances at multiples. I think IVF is really probably the most likely way you'd get twins.

Twins are not genetic. Family history has nothing to do with it. Its all about How many eggs are fertilized. A women gives off multiple eggs and if two just so happen to get fertilized at the same time, BAM! you got twins. Twins with body parts stuck together are when those to eggs get stuck together. Its all about the roll of the dice, the river, how you play your cards and any other kind of probability type statement.

There are a number of ways that you can go about trying to have twins, but, as with anything, there are no guarantees. Having twins is mostly down to luck, although there are a few things you can do to help Lady Luck along.
Focus on Nutrition
Women who are well nourished are more likely to have twins or multiple births. So focus on eating well and eating enough to maintain a healthy weight.
Eat Yams
Yams, a type of sweet potato, have also been linked with multiple births. A tribe in Africa whose diet consists mostly of yams was recently found to have exceptionally high rates of twins and multiple births. Yams are thought to contain chemicals that stimulate hyperovulation, increasing your chances of conceiving twins.
Try Fertility Drugs
Though not recommended unless you are suffering from fertility issues, fertility drugs do seem to greatly increase your chances of having twins. The fertility drug clomiphene (Clomid) increases your likelihood to 8%, while menotropins (Pergonal) increases your likelihood to 18%. Fertility drugs do cause side effects though and should never be taken without the supervision of a medical doctor.
Try Fertility Treatments
Fertility treatments are also associated with higher rates of multiple births. In-vitro fertilization involves implanting more than one embryo into your uterus, which means your are more likely to conceive twins or higher-order multiples. Like fertility drugs, fertility treatments should not be undergone without approval from a medical doctor and are usually reserved for couples who are having difficulties conceiving.
Hope this helps - and good luck.

invitro fertilization.
If you are fertile, then both eggs will take. You will have fraternal twins (not always will they look extremely different or will they be opposite sexes) There is no known understanding of "why" an egg splits during mitosis to create identical twins, and scientists can not replicate this phenomenon.

My dad's side of the kinfolk has 10 instruments of twins, 3 instruments merely in one kinfolk and my mom has, i think of, like 4 or 5 instruments on her side. (i come from a very huge kinfolk) Its plenty extra good with better than one baby to shelter at a time and that i know every physique that has diverse births and keeps their sanity!

there is no guarantee that you will have twins when you conceive, even if you go through invitro fertilization. Just be happy with whatever chld you're going to have.

Yes, you can use fertility drugs if you want to have a multiple birth. But be careful because fertility drugs can enable you to have 4 or 5 babies at one time.
