yeah - never because of the media but peer pressure

People started really getting into rock music as suddenly being and 'emo' became trendy.

So naturally I was like hmmmm maybe I should start listening to more emo music. So basically I did and I used to pretend I loved all these sorts of bands that I didn't actually really like. I still do listen to some emo music now but only the songs I like and I just listen to anything else I like as well like hiphop, dance, indie etc.
I can't believe how stupid I was. Do you know what I did?? I asked my mum to be me an electric guitar for christmas because loads of people had them and I just wanted to look cool I guess. She spent £160 on it and god knows how much on lessons and I've just given it up now. I feel really really bad about it.

Now I just know stupid categories like emos, goths, punks, grungers, gangsters etc are just for people that aren't comforatable being themselves.

: )
