Certainly Ganguly is better than Sachin. Remember Ganguly's entrance in Test cricket in 1996. He has done a great job since then in batting and 2000 onwards he showed some exquisite captaincy and batting too. It is media who has built Sachin God of Indian cricket. History says that It is Sachin who could not deliver his best as captain and untimately gave up the captaincy. But look at Dada who took immense pressure both as a captain and an accomplished batsman, dropped from the side and came back with a bang. Hats off to Ganguly !

Lets not take anything away from Sachin, he was the only player who was endorsed by World Tel from India, so the commentators (ESPN Starsports) were not allowed to say anything against him, moreover the two prominent commentators are from Mumbai. Sachin has always played with all the loves & admiration from the World Spectators, just look at Saurav, he is the bad boy, but still it is him who will take all the pain in pressure situation, be it captaincy after betting scandal or had to bat chasing 314 against Pakistan in Bangladesh. Saurav is better than Sachin, as he has performed against all odds & criticism from the begining of his cricketing career.

both.sachin scored most runs on the other hand ganguly was the captain for india ,ganguly hit most sixes by an indian, sachin scored most runs in an odi innings by an indian,sachin and sourav are superb in their partnerships while opening,so we cannot seperate two all time greats of indian team and compare.
