Yes, 1024mb is exactly 1gb. You may see people saying it is 1gb is 1000 mb, but it works like this: Binary is basically a number represented by 1s and 0s, and the numbers correspond to the number 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 etc. Any number can be made using a combination of doubled numbers. Eg 47 is 32+8+4+2+1. If you carry on the doubling sequence, the number 1024 is the 11th number, and this is where the memory term comes from. This is why 7gb is not 7000000 bytes. Look for memory storage, RAM comes in 256, 512, 1024 etc. Im waffling now, hope that helped. To sum up, the answer to your question is yes.

Yes but on alot of things like hard drives and MP3 players they'll have in small text somewhere on it. 1000MB = 1GB but truely 1024MB = 1GB thats why when you get a hard drive it doesn't really hold as much as it says on it.

This is true in computers, however the standard metric system would say that 100mb = gb, however all computers use the 1024 = 1gb

NO. 1,000 MegaBytes = 1 GigaByte
A byte is 8 bits and it takes 1,000,000,000 (one billion) of them to make 1 GigaByte
