I recently picked up a paper at walmart, where they give you healthy life tips. Here are the instructions for correctly measuring for your bra size.
For proper band size, measure around the body, just below the bustline. To this measurement, add 4 inches.
For proper cup size, measure around the body at the fullest part of the breast. Measure around the body again, just under the arms. The difference between the underarm measurement and the breast measurement determines the cup size. (1" = A cup, 2" = B cup, 3" = C cup, and so on).
Many stores also offer days where a bra fitting by a professional is available. Take advantage of these days to learn your correct bra size. Half sizes are now available for a more customized fit. Most women have one breast that is larger than the other. Always fit the cup size to the larger breast first. Every woman should reassess her bra size yearly, especially after a major life change, such as having a baby, weight gain or loss of more than 10 pounds or taking on a new exercise regimen.

measure around your chest, just below the breasts. add 4 inches for band size. The cup size will be A if they are the size of lemons, B for oranges, C for grapefruit and D for honey dew melons...but if you can't afford all that fruit, go to a department store for a fitting.

Go to some department store and get measured. Even a Victoria's Secret would help you. Go in, but realize you are not committed to buy anything.
