its better is you are taller( DUH ) while still retaining your passing skills and taller people have the advantage of seeing over others so if given the above choice i will go with 6-4( jason kidd's height )
but still pretty much depends on your passing skill, you dont have to be tall as your job is to handle the ball run the floor and pass it and not generally scoring it...
Plus there are many tall players that can pass the rock like lebron magic and shaun livingston... they are not common but with their height advantages, coaches definetly prefer them to smaller players...the average height for a pg in the nba should be about 6-1 to 6-2 though...

6 foot 3
in todays nba they are still short and quick enough to stay with the fast little point guards of the nba that seems to be the trend these days but can still guard the 6 foot 4 and 5 guys at point guard or switch over to play the off guard (on defense or whatever) when the team wants to go small
6 foot 3 is the best of both worlds where they can hang with the bigger guys and still run with the small guys

The perfect height for a point guard would be about 8-10 ft tall. That way you dont have to jump to dunk the ball.

I like 6-4 because you have the size advantage over other PG's. Also Jason Kidd is 6-4 and can back down smaller PG's and also has a better advantage of getting a triple double because of your size for rebounding. But size really isn't as important as you overall skills. Size does play a roll, but you talent and skills is what ultimately makes your great or not.

I'd say atleast 6-3. However, lack of height is only significant if the PG is truly short (cough Earl Boykins cough). Speed, ball handling, shooting, court vision, passing, defense...all so much more important!
