Try baby oil and jewelry cleaner, but if you're really that afraid throw them out because it's not fun when you get an infection. Take it from someone whos had one!

If they have rust,i am assuming they are cheap ones. Just throw them and get new ones. I do this all the time.
It's a little bit of money and it saves you the risk of infection.

if you have rust on your earrings, you should throw them out. if you stick them in your ear you can get infected!!

I saw on t.v. one time that toothpaste was good for cleaning jewelry. Just like you were brushing your teeth.

if they rusted, they aren't worth sticking in your orifices..you must use gold, silver or platinum studs only.

yeah throw them out, get either real silver,gold or whatever you like or sterling silver.
