did samurai jack ever find his porthole back to where he came from?

In the context of the storyline the answer is yes. During Episode 32 - Jack & the Travelling Creatures, Jack fights the guardian of a time portal but is unable to defeat him. After Jack leaves the guaridan says that it is not yet time for him to return to the past. We are then shown a image of a much older Jack in the portal thus leading us to believe that Jack does somehow make it back to the past at soem point in the future.

However, no final episode of this series has yet been made as yet, but all is not lost in an interview last year the series creator creator Genndy Tartakovsky confirmed that there will be finish to the story and there will be an animated film.

no longer yet, the prepare had 4 final episodes produced after it gained an Emmy, yet they did no longer wrap up the prepare, in basic terms prolonged the continuity of the universe the prepare is desperate in. In September 2006, in an interview with MTV, the writer suggested that "Jack is decrease back" and that "we can end the story"(see resource for greater information and a link to the interview)
