Anger is a cover up emotion , it hides what is really bothering you , get to the root of you worries by discussion with others then your new knowledge will recognise your anger as the frightened child it is , I find I have two worries , fear of not getting what I want and fear of loosing what I all ready have .

Hi there,
I am not really an angry type of person more a irritable
type.I find a long walk over the hills with the dog helps calm me down and really lifts a negative state of mind, laughing with friends or a good comedy helps to.

Take 3 deep breaths each time counting 9 breathing in and 9 breathing out. Then put my own point of view across quietly and calmly.

I leave the room. Most of the people who know me, know that if I say, "okay okay, please leave me alone" during an argument, and they do that for half an hour, by that time I'll have forgotten what I was angry about :D
[failing that, I watch TV...as long as a semi-decent show is on, it usually works]

As corny as it might sound, breathing exercises do work when you want to cool yourself down. Maybe it doesn't work in the long run, but it does wonders for when you need to keep calm on the spot.
