We purchased a weeping willow 7 years ago, it was about 3/4 of an inch wide by 6 feet tall, today its around 6 inches wide and 25 feet tall. Beware that these lovely trees can grow very fast. The tree will easily double in size each year, and since you are not saying how big it is now, assume that if its 5 feet tall now, it will be 10 feet tall next year.

In the right spot (wet, soggy), relatively not long for a tree. I have a weeping willow which has grown fast in 2 years. It is hard to estimate, but I would say 3-4 years. Try using a good transplant fertilizer when you plant it.

I planted weeping willows as 6 inch tall sticks and in one year they grew to be about 3 feet tall. Lots of water was the key to the fast growth.

It depends upon the growing conditions and fertility of the soil. Willows like water and being waterside makes them grow faster. Sandy soil is less fertile and drier, which may stunt them. It should not take more than three or four years under good conditions.

I have been told that they grow fairly quickly...I'm anxious to see this myself as I planted one this past fall. My "guess" would be 3 years.
