I have a crack where the upper hose connects to my radiator. The crack has actually caused a piece of it to break off. Will this cause the upper hose to blow off like it is, even though the hose goes over the crack and connects ok????

Sounds like it is clogged and needs to be flushed. If the water can not flow it will build up pressure and blow off the cap or a hose.

No. Tighten the hose and get a new radiator
