My experience with Norton's Corporate has been great but Norton's Home has ruined a few computers for me. You will need knowledge of how to tweak Norton's Internet Security or you will end up with the inability to get online. Personally, I do not think it is worth it, I just purchase the Norton's Anti-Virus. I have a Linksys router which locks up security for me.

You should try to use the internet security that came with your computer. For basic to intermediate users, it is REALLY hard to set internet security up if you try to install it after you've been using your computer for a while.
But I've had Norton preinstalled on both of my computers, and I LOVE it. I never have problems. Buy it if you like, but keep in mind that you could spend a good long time on the phone if you start getting errors.

No. It's not. It's really just a big firewall. You should not buy one until it's on sale for less than $20. For current protection against viruses and worms, try avast antivirus. It's much smaller than norton internet security and is free.

In my opinion it is not worth it. The software is by far too much of a resource hog and is more expensive than several better solutions. Personally I reccomend and use myself, Trend Micro's Pc-Cillin Internet Security. It is only 49.99 and it can cover upto three computers for no additional cost.

It came with my new Dell and I like it. Schedule the antivirus scan to run at night tho because you can't really use your pc while it's running. It takes up most of the resources. Good luck.
