It isn't just you, and it isn't just online or Yahoo answers.
At least at my end in real life, people have been really tense and really quiet since New Year's day at least. I'm not sure what it is, but Yahoo News did report a poll a while back, and a lot of people were expecting something *bad* to go down, either in the way of a terrorist attack or in the way of First Contact (as in with E.T.s from outer space).

Well if you were unemployed and had bill collectors calling your house every minute, and haven't had sex in 7 months, and all you got to eat is Cup O Noodles, and can't even buy gas to go on job interviews, you would be a lil tense too!!! Wouldn't you??
