Wow! it is refreshing to hear that you are so focused. I don't necessarily think that you have to let them go as friends but that doesn't mean that you have to cater to their every feeling or mood. You know that true friends encourage and support one another. Maybe they are too immature to realize what a good head you have on your shoulders. You stick to your goals and as you grow older you will realize that friends are actually those who share in your accomplishments, victories and when you fall they are there to pick you up. But realistically you may not find one or even two people who encompass these things you may need a group of friends with their own speciality. Don't get caught up with emotions, associates come and go but friends are there forever! Think about it!

The best thing you can do is move on.The longer you try to hang on to the relationship the more hurt you will be.There are times in life when we out grow relationships.Everyone has their own dreams and goals. But if you want to maintain some kind of link with them, set aside one night a month or week to just hang out.

It sounds like your correct , but there is always a chance its not the money , I would just for the heck of it ask them . What could happen , they could just say they don't want to be friends anymore which would hurt of course but I would rather know the truth ( if you can get them to be honest ) than always wonder. Good luck

I would let them go but in such a way that they know that they can come back should you all decide it's best later on. Perhaps by exchanging cards/letters/email or getting together periodically for coffee.
Sometimes it's healthier to let a relationship go than to try to maintain a toxic or lackluster one.

you can't accomplish what you set out to do if your going to worry about pettiness. if your feel hindered, this is not good as it is your life. do what you set out to do and if they are good friends they should understand. don't look in the rear window, look forward. good luck

well, i would try to make peace. and if things dont get better, let them go. they'll see what theyve lost, and wish they had appreciated you while you were around.
