There is only one zero degrees latitude line and one zero degrees longitude line. The lines of lat. and long. are laid out like a grid, much as you'd see in geometry or algebra. The zero degree lines don't therefore have any direction designation such as north, south, east, or west--simply 0 degrees lat. and 0 degrees long.
With this being the case, these two (for all practical purposes)perpendicular lines only intersect once at one single point on earth--in the Gulf of Guinea off the coast of West Africa. There are no interesting or significant facts about this location that I know of, except that it is one of many points on the equator, halfway between the north and south poles.
In other words, no land mass there. Look it up for yourself--I am 100% correct here

The South Pole (zero degrees south) lies on the continent of Antarctica. The North Pole lies in the middle of the Arctic Ocean. Zero degrees Longitude (zero degrees east/west) runs through the town of Greenwich, England.
