I have rear view mirror that keeps detaching from car windshield. I can't get old mounting button removed as it says to do on the instructions of adhesive mounting kit. It seems to be STUCK with old adhesive.

soak the piece in acetone for a day then use a litte heat should come right off clean the windshield good with a razor before installing again

WD-40, Or even try rubbing alcohol. It may take time, but STICK with it.

Lighter fluid, just dont smoke while your doing it.
