What is the worst game you ever played on the original Nintendo Entertainment System?

as bad as zelda 2 was (for cripes sake, let me cross the bridge!!) no game was as bad as dragonlance: heroes of the lance

i have bought this game three separate times from ebay just to remind myself how horrible it is

First off great question but my friend if you thought The Adventure of Link was the worst game you ever played, well you haven't played a whole lot of titles. I have played over 700 games on the 8-Bit NES system and have to tell you although Zelda 2 was frustrating at times, the game-play and controls were top notch at the time.

With that being said let me answer your question as I have three titles that are wet turds on the greatest system of all time. I think if it came down to it, I would say the winner would be "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde"! Then rounding up second place would be Where's Waldo, followed by The Adventures of Gilligan's Island in 3rd place for worst game EVER!

1. Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde - This wet fart of a game had the worst graphics and control imaginable. The story line is you are Dr. Jekyll trying to get to a wedding, so you start off in town and after a few kids throwing a baseball at you for no reason at all, your meter in the game drops to "H" where you turn into Mr. Hyde, and the game transforms into a puke looking demon world, which is pure crapola! The jumping ability was horrific as most enemies required to be by-passed and not defeated. The plot was stupid as you would randomly change in to Mr. Hyde based on a lighting strike from the heavens which at times would kill your character all together. This game was total garbage and made zero sense! You better of had game genie running because no way you were getting very far without it. No doubt the worst game EVER on the system!

2. Where's Waldo - This game is lame, if I wanted to find Waldo I will buy a book and look for him which is about as exciting as watching paint dry. Unlike some who managed to pay 50 bucks and use a magnifying glass on the game system while hitting "A" to find him! Man that had to a great time for everyone.

3. The Adventures of Gilligan's Island. Let me ask everyone this question, if you actually enjoyed that show, you were old and probably weren't into playing 8-bit Nintendo in the first place. The game had a HORRIBLE plot, you control Gilligan and the bunch and guess what your stuck on an ISLAND suprise. Even with Game Genie cheat codes this turd sandwich of a game wasn't worth completing or wasting valuable seconds of your life on. The games graphics were atrocious as well, if you knew Gilligan didn't have that funky hat from the show, you wouldn't know who is who in the actual game itself, avoid this game at all costs!

Game i think it was called caveman. You ran across the screen with your club and hit rocks or obstacles that came your way. But you couldn't jump over pits in the game even though they were there and you got killed every time in the first level. a major glitch...
