Halo 2 online tips please?

Level 19 online but I wanna get goood! What are some secrets?

Technique: The noob cancel. Throw a grenade when a plasma pistol bolt comes at you and it will hit the grenade not you!

Technique: The double shot. Press R + R + X then press Y + Y. (with the battle rifle) If done correctly, you just shot 2 bursts of ammo at the rate of a mech gun!

Technique: The smash melee. Simply jump and melee your opponent for even more damage than just meleeing on the ground.

there is really only 1 really really good tip but peeps might call you a pussy for using it. first, u need a battle rifle and a plasma pistol. u charge up the plasma pistol (shoot when fully charged) at the opponet then switch to battle rifle and 1 burst shot at head and their dead. I use that a lot thats why im rank 36 in team slayer.
