Your question has more to do with a way of life than the actual wolf. People need space, wild animals are in the way. People are 'superior' and therfore we think we have the right to take over anything we want. When people move into an area, and the wild animals that were there before come back, they intere with people lives. If a wolf came onto your property and your little kid was out there and you thought the wolf was going to eat your kid, what would you do? People and wild animals cannot co-exist until people learn how. Most people do not want to learn or chose not to learn how. Wild animals are just that, WILD. They eat or they die.

we can coexist,i have a wolf and she is the finest animal ever, there were so many bad things told about the wolf when the people came here to our country that those stories were told so long now they are still believed.a wolf is not a dog but the first ancestors of the dog so in this way all dogs are a little bit wolf themselves.by the way i have noticed that the buffalo and many of our sacred animal associated with native Americans are being wiped out simply to slap us in the face.

I grew up with a wolf in the Alaskan outback. I don't blame people in Alaska that have shot at helicopters that hunt wolves. For the most part, I think that the wolf population is improving in most parts of the US where there are packs. As to specific answers to your questions: Ignorance and mean spiritedness.

Nobody is trying to wipe out wolves. Where the hell do you get your information? Some ranchers out west dont like them because the kill livestock(and hurt their way of life) so they kill them but wolves are protected in most cases.

because people are blinded by the fear that they kill, when in fact the percentage of wolves killing humans is nothing at all compared to the percent of humans killing wolves. if you haven't noticed, humans dislike other animals, and feel they are "superior." no offense, but many people act like they are the center of the universe.
