I think Palestine is on a downhill slide, and Israel has defeated 8 Middle Eastern nations in 11 days before. Their military is ruthless. To mess with them, is to be owned by them. If the Arab countries can deal with the fact that Israel is there to stay, then they can become part of Israel.

For starters, the war was between Hizbolah and Israel, not Lebabnon and Israel. And ye,s the distinction makes a world of difference.

Well Israel's goals were to free their 2 soldiers and to destroy Hezbollah,they didn't reach any of their goals,they just destroyed a country and killed many civilians,so I wouldn't say that this is a victory...As for Lebanon,well it lost the most....The infrastructure of the country was destroyed and over 1000 civilians were killed...
The only ones who won something were Hezbollah:they avoided another occupation of their country and they show to everyone that Israel's army is not that strong as it used to be...Now Hezbollah has a strong influence in Lebanon and it has more supporters than ever...

Israel will, if war breaks out again, because Israel has the United States on her side.
Unless, of course, the UN interferes... then the war won't be won at all but will continue raging for the next century.

based on the number of people killed and the damage inflicted, Israel won. After all, that's what armies do... break things and kill people.
BUT, Lebanon clearly won the public relations side of the war.
