who is better? Buddy or Gene? John or Ringo? answer with a reason, too.

I think Buddy had the edge on Krupa (though they were close). Now with John & Ringo, they were both the perfect drummers for their respective bands. Could you imagine Bonham powering thru Beatles tunes? Or Ringo floundering thru Zep songs?

Star is not a really good drummer, he's a gimmick. They all have very different styles, but I'd argue for Kruppa, since he was really the first major badass drummer. But if you want awesome MODERN drumming, hear Omar Hakim, Manu Katche, Peter Erskine and some stuff by Vinnie Colaiuta - the latter is a mercenary, though, even worked with Britney Spears (ugh!)
Another AWESOME but not very famous drummer is Steve Jansen, David Sylvian's brother and usual collaborator. So much style, elegance and taste.
