I mean if there is a great distance between the two, how would that work?

They are very possible and very "real" to many many people.
the better question is if they can be -SUCCESSFUL-.

I found my true love on the internet just goofing around. He was in Florida and I was in Texas. After talking ever night for forever, we met and fell more in love and he moved to Texas and now we have a 3 year old. Yes it is possible.

They sure are. I know two couples who met on Yahoo Message Boards and got married. One of the couples has a daughter now.

I think it's better to just meet someone in person. I've heard of a few success stories tho, but not a lot. Usually I hear that once they meet up w/them that they are not what they expected them to be and there's a lot of weirdo's out there.

A lot of people make it work. I don't see how. To easy to lie over the computer.
