I am not a registered voter yet as I missed the date to apply for the election card. Is it possible that someone can illegally include me the voters list and use the vote that I am entitled to? Why arent voters cards issued all through the year instead of just before the elections?

This question brings up the issue that everyone who shows up to vote should have a photo ID. Then also get a thumb print next to their signature.. Then anyone who tries to vote for someone else could end up in prison like them deserve. Listen to those who oppose this and ask them why. It is because their political group is cheating as far as voting is concerned.

The answer is a big Yeeeeeeeeeees. For your information this what happening in all these 60 years in India especially in states like West Bengal, Bihar. The story is not different in other states. Even if you are a registered voter and have an ID still some body else cast your vote. You have nothing to do except to register your protest with the polling officer on duty. By them time the election officials take any action on your protest/complaint the next elections will come.

if you're registered. maximum parts you want to register to vote 4-6 weeks earlier. No voter card is critical in any state yet maximum, not all , require a authorities photo identity, passport is wonderful There are some places that enable registration on the day of voting.

There has been a recent change that you also have to show a valid picture id when voting. So in order for the person to obtain a card, in order to use it, they will have to make some fake ids to go with it.
