Sung by the Kingsmen...
I looked online to try and see exactly what they're saying.. I dont see anything controversial, and yet the song is banned in some places for the lyrics. I dont see anything bad about them? Maybe im on a site that gives out the wrong lyrics?
What is so controversial about this song?

great resource about it.

The FBI basically investigated it because they thought there were obscene lyrics due to the fact that they couldn't understand them.

and according to Wiki:
"Oddly enough, the song does contain one possibly obscene moment that the FBI missed. Immediately before the second verse (approximately 54 seconds into the song), drummer Lynn Easton supposedly banged his sticks by accident and shouted "F**k!"."

It is a very old song, that was banned in certain places when it was first released. Things have changed a whole lot since those days.

When it first came out, no one understood the lyrics so the powers that be decided that there must be some offensive things written in. It was all much ado about nothing, as there is nothing bad in it, as you have found out.
