ive been trying for months to think of a name for my horse and i cant think of one i really like. he needs a long, cool fancy sounding name. there was a horse at my barn who was named Barishnakov (after the dancer) and i really like that one but i cant use it again. so something that sounds kind of fancy like that. maybe in another language??? he is a 17hh bay gelding. he is a fantastic jumper and i really want a great name for him for shows. please help me! thanks!

First think of words that you like the sound of, or are long and smart sounding. Then think of what you want the name to mean. Do you want just any old name, or one that will inspire you to make the horse better fit that name? Also think of words that describe your horse.
I'll use the word 'maverick' as an example.
I like the word, and enjoy hearing the sound of it. Then I think of a horse, and a word that describes his personality. Let's just say 'benevolent'.
Now put them together.
'Maverick Benevolence'

I always thought that a show name for a horse that would be funny: Riding Naked. (think when the announcer calls your name and then your horses)

First of all is he registered with any association, if he is then you may be able to get his papered name from there otherwise here is a site with some very interesting names.
