He's obviously NOT ready for that type relationship with you. He enjoys his freedom too much, and his career right now. If you want my honest opinion, I'm not sure you're what he's looking for , longterm, if it scared him THAT much, otherwise, he would have just "laughed it off" without all the drama.

I'm this persons son. No! It means he's not ready for that. How long have you two been together? Does he believe in living with someone? Why move in to his place? Why don't you get a place and invite him over? That is a big commitment and its something his parents may frown upon, you can love some one but to live with them is causing a great deal of pressure. I know a lot of girls move into their guys place but some people need time alone, and away from the other mate. Just accept his answer and later on down the road he may ask you. Unless your the type that harps on every little thing then he may never ask you to share his home

I'm sure he loves you it's just harder for men to give up their freedom. Just give it time and dont pressure him. It took me 7 years to move in with my g/f and I still wasn't fond of loosing my "Bachelor Pad". I'm not saying it will take that long but give it a couple of years and start to look to move into a newer neutral spot so it will be a new place for both of you. Then everything will be alright.
Oh yeah I forgot to mention we're still together after 11 yrs. lol

It means he knows the relationship hasn't gotten to that point. If you were smart you wouldn't move in with a man until you are ready to make a commitment on paper in the form of marriage. Be independent girl!

Living together isn't something that should be taken lightly. Your boyfriend was honest with you when he said that he's not ready for that. I mean that's a major step. Although you had good intentions, maybe it's too early. Give him time. Take care!!

he no doubt, was worried about the fact, that if you two had a nasty blow out, and booted him out of your place, he may have no ware to go.
stop and consider almost all the time, it is the guy that gets the boot and the girl mages to survive some how.

It means that he is not ready for that step in your relationship. If you push him, he may decide that you are not the girl for him. Back off.
