Post Secondary degrees can garner a higher income. In certain cases, the post secondary degree or certificate is a requirement to gain employment. The entire medical field, a lot of Education and a lot of business administrators need post secondary education. Just getting into the program is not enough, one needs to finish. I'm an educator and I could not teach with out post secondary education and the degrees they merit.
In some cases though, the degree is nothing without comparable experience. Completion of a post secondary program may put you in a higher wage bracket, while your actual experience may not warrant the pay that you require. You could then be over qualified for a job. You have to look at your unique situation.
