My daughter is 11 months, and I'm going back to work in 3 weeks. I don't want to give up breastfeeding just yet, but I need to get her to take a sippy cup for the hours when I'm at work. Right now she will take maybe an ounce at the most and she mostly just chews on the sippy cup. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Try a Rubbermaid "juice box" with a straw instead. Many breastfed babies do GREAT with this kind of cup. They "get" the drinking through a straw part easier than bottlefed babies seem to, but learning to tip a cup up to take a drink is sometimes hard for them. Another nice thing about the Rubbermaid straw "juice boxes" is that you can give it a little squeeze to squirt some liquid into their mouths as they are learning to use it.

Watch that use of sippy cup. New studies have shown that over use causes tooth decay.

When you are not there to feed her I think she will take more from a cup. Good job with nursing and with using a cup instead of a bottle to not confuse her.
