I wouldn't get an external hard drive. They are prone to heating up and are a little unstable. They are also very slow and have driver problems every once in a while. But if you must, get one with Firewire because it's faster and more stable than USB.

hi if i was buying i whould have a seagate or westerndigital or maxtor
