Yes. It was never an actual event that occured as some people believe. The filming of the movie was done at the south end of Round Rock, Tx. It is an empty hill about 500 yards south of a Marriot Hotel. Follow the map linked below. it's located between la Fontera Rd. and Quick Hill Rd. just east of the "45" marker.
