find out how they communicate amongst each other or with their families. There has to be some way they understand.
When you find out - invite someone in who will assist with developing a strategic way of implementing their form of communication with you. Once you learn it, you should be able to accomplish what you want.
It will take time and resources, but obviously you are supportive of their right to work in your factory, so you need to get creative with your resources.

Contact The Division of The Deaf in your state. Sometimes, in addition to supplying you with an intern. The Deaf have a culture all their own and it is difficult to penetrate without assistance. Give some thought to learning the basics of American Sign Language with a beginner's course. This can be done at the workplace and there is no cost to you or your company. Many of the interns stay on site for the entire workday.

Learn sign language or find another job. Some of the deaf refuse to communicate with people who don't sign as a matter of pride. Also, some of them are not above playing dumb. Until you learn, take one who seems to like you, and appoint them your interpreter.

First, smile at them and look at them and REALLY see them. Pay attention to your body language, because your deaf coworkers are. Perhaps that is why they are uncooperative.
Last and most importantly, learn finger spelling and sign language. There are more uses for sign language than just with the deaf.
It is very difficult for the deaf in our society because of the importance of the spoken word. Try going around for one day with cotton in your ears, so you have some idea of what your coworkers are experiencing. It might give you more compassion for their situations.
Good luck to you and them! I hope this helps.

Okay this is kinda hard to figure out hate to be you right now...Well I'd say if they know sign language you need to learn it, trust me it isn't that hard I'm sure you could even google how to learn it or find a children's book with it in it, that's how I learned how to use it. So that's my answer (it truly isn't that hard to use or learn sign language) sorry if it doesn't help and I hope you find a way to work this out.

you need to learn sign language.
that's the best option.
they are not as uneducated as you think.
you just don't speak their language.
and they cannot learn yours.
i'm guessing they understand asl fine.
deaf culture is very different and you need
to study it more if you are going to be successful in this job.
start taking sign language classes or at least show an interest in learning it. deaf culture often sees themselves as a language minority (not disabled people) and feel that all americans should learn asl. learn more. get on groups or study deaf websites.
the culture is very different.
