I have always wanted to work on a farm but my family never had a farm so I am not real familiar with it, although i have learned alot about it from my friends. I have the chance to work on a farm like I have always wanted, should I? I am not worried about the hard work because I like to be busy and working at all times. By the way I am 19.

Since you have expressed your ambitions in this area, I think you should go for it by all means.
And since it is at the college you attend, I think it will be a wonderful teaching and hands-on experience.
You sound like a bright, enterprising young man.
Good Luck!!

if you had the opportunity and the time, why not? it is something that you can add to your life list of have dones. plus that would be a great way to figure out if you really liked farming or if it was different than you thought. I grew up in cow and farm country, although we didn't have cows, we grew chickens and other types of birds along with crops, and i have to tell you nothing is more fun or rewarding than when they are full grown and you sell them to people and people appreciate it. Cows are interesting creatures too... im still not sure if i like them or not, the milking cows can be honery little buggers.

I grew up on my parents farm and loved it. We had everything from pigs to cows to chickens and horses. It was the most rewarding work. Its not always fun (like gathering cows in the snow storm) but you can sit down after a hard days work and feel like you accomplished something. You will not get rich but you will learn those things in life that matter more than money.
