no the chinese are mass majority poverty and have no freedom of speech and religious, thats why you dont hear the media there criticize the govt, japan is majority older, india is also poor they have no choice for better pay.

why didnt you put the USA on. our poverty and unemployment is the lowest among inustrialized nations and we are the most industrialized nation.

and poll after poll after poll find that people in the USA are the most patriotic. and should i mention that our military is completely volunteer.

I don't don't know anything about India, but hear this out:

I saw this documentary of Chinese people being (illegally) transported to construction sites in Dubai. They are there considered the hardest workers. They work 16 hours / day, 7/7 in temperatures that exceed 50 Celcius (don't know how much that is in Fahrenheit, sorry... but it's like hot desert temp).

Japanese workers are also to be mentioned. My professor told this story about the Japanese. In a typical Japanese company, a worker is honored if he would be granted the 'favor' to work overtime for his company. They see it as a form of trust, the company trusts you so much that they allow you to prove your loyalty more then they allow others to do so. It's really weird...
Japan once faced an economical crisis because the Japanese spent too little money. They just saved it and didn't buy anything. So the government raised the number of obligated days off. The number of depressions rose remarkably; psychiatrists declared that many Japanese felt abandoned by their company, they felt like they weren't needed anymore.

I don't see those things happening in the USA any time soon... :D

The poster above me is wrong. Sadly the US is not number one compared to other western nations. But the US as a society is hard working which may contribute to our weight/stress/mental state. We push for productivity at all costs. Other countries can get up to 6 weeks of vacation time or more [ie France] where as the average here is 2 weeks. I mean we only have three days off for loosing a close relative we are cold and focus only on productivity.
