naive can mean someone who just hasnt experienced life and certain situations, or it can also mean someone who often ignores what seems to others as reality and hopes for the best in spite of history or the evidence right in front of them,,,,,,,,,,, it often refers to not being aware of negative things,,,,, as to losing it,,,, life's experiences and learning about people,, is about the only way i know of , to lose an unhealthy amount of it ,

Example: I tell you that while you're asleep a man comes into your room and throws sand in your face to make you dream. A naive person will believe it immediately. A person who is NOT naive will research it to see if it's true and if she will believe it. Understand now?
