i believe that the Lamborguini or the Ferrari are about tied for that title as far as street legal, but the actual fastest cars are formula 1 cars

The koenigsegg is the fastest car at the moment. But it is close between the bugatti veyron though. The mclaren f1 lost the title a while ago to the koenigsegg.
Finally the bmw m3 2007 is not out yet and it will never be the fastest. My family has always owned bmw's so I have nothing against them but they aren't the worlds fastest cars.

my hoothee van. i have never seen anyone beat me. mostly because i scare them away driving left and right and swurving all around but hey. no one dears to drive next to me and race past me. haha.
but seriously, i like the Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak Version. so light and so fast. of course its not street legal.
