How do I know if my VHS player can play PALs?

I know US players use NTSC but I'm looking to buy a VHS from England where they use PAL. I'm not sure if my VHS player supports PAL.

more than likely since you bought it in the US it won't work, you would need to buy a VHS player from overseas to use the PAL VHS.

If your VCR was bought in North America, then likely not.

You can buy special VCRs that switch between PAL and NTSC, but they are very expensive and rare. eBay might have some.
