in "The Chronicles of Narnia" the book the "The Horse and His Boy" comes after "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe". well, the movie "Prince Caspian" is coming out and they are totally skipping the 3rd book! why is this?

technically "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" is the 2nd book, "The Horse and His Boy" is 3rd, "Prince Caspian" is 4th and "The Magician's Nephew" should be 1st, they screwed up from the get go. This is based on CS Lewis' vision. Movie studios are going for the more epic story lines to hook viewers.

When they were first published they were in this order: Lion the Witch..., Prince C., Voyage of D.T, Silver Chair, Horse&Boy, ., Magician's Neph., The Last Battle. This is how I read them in the early 80's. I don't know when or why, but they print them in a different order now. I guess to make the stories flow easier. C.S. Lewis jumps around a lot.
