As a Red Sox fan, I don't usually have many positive things to say about the Yankees, but as a baseball fan I am able to recognize talented players. Derek Jeter is definitely not overated. He has been a solid all around player on one of the best teams to play the game. The Yankees haven't won a world series in quite a few years but he has been one of the constants on that team. The Yankees constantly swap out thier players and buy new talent when they think they need it. Money has never been an issue. If Derek Jeter were not worth it, they would have found someone better by now. The Yankees are not historically known for keeping players out of loyalty. For those that think he would not have gotten as much attention if he weren't on the Yankees, I hope you realize he wouldn't have been on the Yankees if he wasn't that good.

If hes not the best ever he's damn close. He shows a little power, hits well for average, is amazingly clutch, a pretty damn good fielder a great leader and a really classy guy, what more could you want out of him? hes also wearing at least a couple rings

I would have to say if not he is either 2nd or 3rd. Leadership, good average, decent power, clutch, captin, experienced with the rings hes got, plus gold glove SS. how can u disagree?

he is good I'm a red sox fan and I'll say that hes a future first ballot hall of famer but not the best ever SS Ernie Banks is

If you are considered to be the Yankees all time best shortstop then there's a good chance he is the best.
