I am watching them play Va Tech and they look awful. The players on Duke are not even goood and they all play hesitant, mainly Paulus. Teams have been working Duke this year like it is no big deal. The cameron crazies are funny to watch though because they think they are such hardcore fans when they are actually a bunch of nerds who no nothing about sports, but they have all those cheers right on.

I think the whole state of college basketball is changing. There really isn't 4-5 dominant teams anymore. I think the best team as far as talent goes is Florida but they have been beaten twice. These "mid-majors" are knocking off the big dogs in there place. Just look at the top 25 rankings, who would have thought teams like Neveda, Air Force, Wichita St, Oregon and Butler would be ranked??? and all a the same time. There is parity in college basketball, it started with Gonzaga and hit an exclamation point with George Mason last year. Duke will always get the all-americans but what good are they if they only play 1-2 years? These mid majors have jr's and sr's starting that may not be as talented as Duke but they have a greater amount of basketball IQ.

Duke hasn't lost its touch, it just has a very young team with no senior leadership. This is the first team under Coach K where there has been no senior leaders to provide guidance on the floor. Josh McRoberts was in Shelden Williams' shadow all last year, and he has had to make big adjustments because he is now a spotlight player. Paulus still seems streaky because of his prior injuries, but every player has a bad game. The issue is not physical talent but the psychological aspect of being able to carry the game to a win, especially in overtime situations.

The team does have to work on its free throws. That could have made a difference in yesterday's game, and it WILL make a difference come tournament time.

Don't despair, Coach K has done a great job with this year's team, considering the number of freshman that are starting and the overall youth of the team.

What the heck are you talking about? Duke might not be blowing everyone out but they are still getting the win. It doesn't matter if you don't score eighty points every game as long as you win. Duke lost two big stars last year is Reddick and Williams and it takes a little while to recover. Also have you not seen them play defense. They have really stepped up on that end of the court. And to top it all off you can't be a crap team and still be number five in the country.

No, they're actually getting better. The team they have this year has only one senior and one junior with 6 sophs and 6 freshman on the team yet they were still ranked in the top 5!!!! (partly due to their past history as a good team). This year's team is by no means their best team, but to be playing at the level they are with their inexperience is something to be very worried about in the near future for other teams

as long as Coach K is there they will always be a top 25 team, and a team with a target on thier back come tournament time.

The recruits have not been as talented in the past. The well could be running dry.
