Depending on the state you live in. If you and the other person are in aggreement, you may be able to do it yourself and pay only court filing fees. From personal experience I found it very hard to find a lawyer for free. (you can call a few local attorneys and ask, it never hurts to try) Some states offer free legal advice clinics, but they wont actually do the work for you (just tell you how to do it and give advice etc) If your low income you could check with a legal aid attorney. I would search the internet for your state and try to get an answer that way. Some libraries have forms you can use. Good luck!

There are only two areas in which you can petition the court for a remodification hearing; child custody/support and/or spousal support. File the paperwork yourself or either contact your local legal aid assoc. or hire a Paralegal

What do you want modified? You can make the request yourself and then it doesnt cost any more than filing fees.
