What GPA should I aim to have by the time I have finished college?

I would agree with above posters in saying that a 3.5 and above can be considered a good GPA.

I don't know what the set-up is like at different universities/colleges, but at my school, different faculties require different GPAs to qualify for the dean's list (which is a pretty good indicator of whether or not you have a "good GPA). For example, Business requires a 3.7 and above to qualify for the dean's list, while some other faculties which tend to have lower marks due to their difficulty or grading trends may only require a 3.5.

My suggestion? Do the best you can and work hard at what you do... but don't worry if you don't hit that magical "good GPA" number. Your grades aren't going to matter much if you start working after your undergraduate degree. If you're looking to get into med school or some other graduate program, then I would find out what the entry requirements are for those programs and work towards them.

a 3.5 or better is considered to be a good GPA.

3.0 and more is generally accepted, though. once you get below that, people consider that a poor GPA

i could say in my opinion 3.0 thats an A. yet this is only my own adventure. I went to a extreme college the place the Valadictorian had a 4.2 with the aid of fact of AP instructions so my 3.7 looked distinctly whimpy. yet in college I decreased my standards and 3.0 grew to become into finding distinctly good.

(A Man's reach should exceed his grasp or whats a heaven for?)
Meaning try for the highest GPA you can achieve, you will never be sorry. And your place in the class will determine what kind of job offers you will receive.
