Why do wait until a pig is dead before we cure it?

It is just easier that way. pigs are very hard to catch when alive. and they hate salt! ( yep that's the cure, salt!)

That is human nature. The person probably wanted to eat the pig so he gave an excuse to cure it later, after it was dead. Oh the humanity!
