fisrts off you need to install any needed update that the psp has at psp underground, you can dowload and intall for free there, the best way to do it is one to make sure when you are dowloanding songs to your psp its isn wma/mp3 format, for isntance when i rip songs of a cd i rip thtne to my hard drive first the copy it to my psp in usb mode...ripping it converts it into the proper format and then when i trnasffer it to my music folder on my psp the songs are there, so you gott amake sure you have the proper updates installed first and if your copying cd,s i'd suggest ripping it off using windows media player 11 then copying to siongs to you psp music folder. When it comes to downloading songs directly from the web the gotta be in mp3 format already or they won't work.

I also have a psp and I put music in it by dragging the music into the music folder on my psp when I connect it to my computer.
