I was at the place ah whats it called....I dunno some pizza place Subzno or something like that and the guy told me how much to pay. This girl behind me then said "how much he said you gotta pay?" I paid and silently walked away from her. I do this whenever someone speaks to me in that halfway ebonics -- halfway English crap. Is that wrong?♥

I admit I have used ebonics but it is only when I am "kickin' it" with my friends (lol). People have no idea how stupid it sounds when you are trying to conduct business and some fool says something like "what it be like." I wonder about some of my people sometimes. And when I say my people, I mean human beings.

Yes, even if people don't speak proper english they still deserve to be respected. It's rude to just walk away.

Maybe I shouldn't answer your question b/c it's not phrased correctly? I would have answered her. I mean, who are we to judge others? Maybe she never received the opportunities for a great education that you did?

I would never intentionally be rude. Ignoring someone is rude.

No, you do not have to answer anyone you do not want to. I think Bill Cosby mention something like this awhile back...and boy did it start something! But everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

As long as I can understand what they're asking, I'll answer. I think it's wrong to just ignore somebody.
