I am at my wits end. I currently have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. It eats gas like it was going out of style, I maybe get 15 MPG HIGHWAY!!!!

Anyway, my first 2 cars were hand-me-down Civics. My first was a 93 del sol, and the second was a 94 EX Coupe. I have since had a brand new VW Cabrio, a brand new Explorer Sport, and now the GP. If my memory serves me, the 2 used Civics were 10 times better than all the other cars. The only thing beside routine oil changes that I ever had to do was normal wear and tear stuff... batteries, tires, and brakes. The following 3 cars had to go in multiple times for warranty stuff, as well as, little stuff such as lights/fuses.

My lease is up on my GP and my salesman is trying to steer me toward a Pontiac G6. I compared on Edmunds, and while the G6 looks (barely) better on "paper," I can't help but think that I would better off going back to trusty old Honda.

Does anyone have any advice they could give me?

check out the honda and give it a test drive. They are great cars but it should be what you like. If you can learn manual, the si would be great. I love manual transmission, especially 6 speed.
