haha I had both haha well, t-moblie gives you more min off the bat and it have great deals on so many plans. Cingular doesnt give you that much but it got the roll over plan. So if you like to talk a lot i say go for t-moblie and if you dont and go for cingular. But the connection with the t-moblie aint all that great. It also depend on the phone. the free phone that t-moblie gives doent work well in big building with lots of metal but if you buy the expensive phone it should be ok.
if you're in UCLA or planning to go to UCLA; DONT!!!! get cingular because EVERYBODY have cingular haha and you'll have a hard time calling people because the cingular service line will always be busy. but yea, both phone have mobile to mobile to me i think the connection for cingular is better than t-mobile. but t-mobile have better deals. so if you're broke go for t-moile and if not go for cingular. haha well have fun with your new phone

With T-Mobile you get more minutes for your money, Cingular you get a huge network and supposedly the fewest dropped calls. Much of it depends on where you live, and what kind of signals you will get with either carrier. I would says Cingular is the more popular choice right now, but if you want more minutes for your money go with T-Mobile.

Whatever you do, don't go with Cingular. I had a cheap, piece of crap phone with them. When I wanted an upgrade, they wanted to cut my 1050 minutes down to 450 and still charge me the same price. The guy actually had the nerve to try and make it sound like a deal. Then when I got service from another company and cut my service with them I was penalized again. I wasn't in a contract with them but I had to pay for the last two months my cheap piece of crap phone was on. They care nothing about their customers once they got them in a contract or something. Today I have U.S Cellular and I am much happier.

T-Mobile. Cingular ripped me off for $1,400 and wouldn't even talk to me on the phone about it. What a load of BS. For customer service reasons alone I would avoid Cingular. They were rude, and refused to discuss it, until I had them cancel my contract, at that point they were more than happy to discuss my "discrepancy"

I use and love cingular. I've used Sprint, Virgin, T-Mobil and Verizion and Cingular is the only one that I've been happy with. I get the best reception with it. Also they aren't expensive and have really good plans. Their phones are cool too.

More minutes for less money with t-mobile. Cingular customer service is horrible, (I've been cursed at), but t-mobile calls are dropped often.

i say cingular, its better. i tried it both already, and i am going back to cingular, just waiting for my contract to finish. t-mobile, have more areas w/ zero connectivity or no signal at all.
