Being goth has nothing to do with what clothes you wear or music you listen to, it is a way of thinking and seeing the world. The clothes that goths wear and the music that goths listen to is just a reflection of that mindset. Goths see that there is extreme pain and evil in the world, along with the good. Instead of condemning it or ignoring it, goths accept these things as a part of life and try and enjoy the good along with the bad, since they can't stop the bad from happening. They are not obsessed with death, they just accept it as an inevitability. They do not try and cause more pain in their (or anybody else's) lives, since there is plenty to start with. Goths tend to be kind, intelligent, non-violent, emotional, and artistic.

Some people turn gothic because they like the idea of being rebellious. Others actaully are rebelling against the normalness and niceness they feel is suffacting them. They also like being different. Stand by your sister, but make sure she stays away from dangerous activities. (drugs, alchol....) Don't exclude her or try to hide her from the eyes of the public.

Why did you turn whatever you turned? At some point in everyone's life they try to figure out who they are and what they like. Your sister did that and came up with a different answer than you. Nothing wrong with that.

everyone is diferent and goth is a palce where the people who didnt fall in the other clicks fall! there is a palce for everyone in this world and its not all the smae palce suport your sister and maybe get her some cool goth stuff BE SISTER NOT ENEMY!

its a self proclaiming state people go through..usualy sad or depressed or the outcast kids get into it, kinda like a club for them only!

Because they are lost. They do not want to believe the our Creator God. They want to fit in with losers and are looking for attention.
