I'm only a preteen and I'm not allowed to wear makeup because my parents think I'm too young, but all my friends are allowed to wear make up! My parents think I look just fine without makeup, but I dont think so! It's not fair!!! So when did you start wearing makeup??? What age do you think is the most reasonable for wearing makeup???

I'm allowed to wear lip gloss and a little bit of eyeshadow. But I really want to wear foudation and concealer and most of all...eyeliner!!

it's okay, i'm 14, and i don't wear it. i just wear concealer, and when i'm going to church or somewhere nice, i wear a light colored eyeshadow.
but i can't wear makeup till i'm 16. you're not alone!

I started wearing lipstick when I was about 11. My parents did not know it. I put it on at school.I started wearing foundation when I was 15. My girlfriend bought it for me for a birthday present and it was Cover Girl. I wish many times that I had never started wearing it. Alot of makeup breaks my face out.Wearing too much makeup can sometimes make a girl look cheap. Your a very young girl and you have the rest of your life to worry about makeup. Don't wear it just because your friends do.Some women look better without any makeup.

I was 16. But, I think that for a preteen, makeup can really be harsh. Your parents are probably right, they only have your best interest at heart. At your young age, you more than likely don't need to use foundation, but, if you really want to use eyeliner, just try buying an eyeliner brush and using one of your darker eyeshadows as your eyeliner. But, it's probably best to ask your mom.

There is nothing wrong with light eye and lip make-up at your age but foundation is another thing. I started wearing foundation at 12 because I wanted to grow up sooo fast. I whole heartedly regret it! By the time I was 14 my face was so broken out from years of unecessary cover-up abuse! It was more of a hassle to get rid of the pimples when I could have just enjoyed my youth!! Even if your face doesn't end up breaking out, it will end up making you look older...which is not good when you actually do get older! Especially since at at your age, kids don't know the proper way to use cover up so they cake it on the face and just cause a terrible mess! See young girls see a pimple and right away assume the answer is to go globb loads of cover up on their entire face! No no no! Only do a spot treatment with concealer, lightly apply concealer to your one pimple, not your entire face lol! I'm 19 and refuse to wear cover up now...I wish I had the same skin as when I was 12! My face isn't broken out anymore because I don't wear cover up. All you have to do it properly take care of your skin and you won't need cover up.

Why are you soooo willing to wear make up? At such a young age your skin is fresh and beautiful and wearing make up will only damage it and take away it's natural beauty.
I didn't wear make up, up until I was 18- some might think it was too late but to me, it was just fine. I'm not telling you to not wear make up until you're 18, I'm just saying that as a preteen it's very soon for you to start wearing make up and just because your friends do so , it doesn't mean that it's the right thing to do.

i started wearing makeup this year and i'm 15 turning 16 in a couple of weeks...just to cover up some blemishes and stuff.....i think its good that your parents dont let u wear makeup cuz if ur a preteen then ur probably 11 or 12 and that is way to young....you'll ruin your face....people who wear makeup at young ages will get wrinkles faster and will look older at younger ages....just listen to your parents, i know they are just doing whats best for u....i'm sorry u feel that thats unfair!

i started playing around with smachers lipgloss when i was in 5th grade lol. my parents didn't really care at the time because they thought it was just chapstick! it went from there and over the years i just started getting makeup, never really having permission. u probably don't really need foundation, but i think that coverup is one of the cosmetics that u kind of need(to cover up zits) and i lovvveee eyeliner so try that when you can. your parents are probably just trying to make you stay a little kid for a while longer because they don't want you to grow up to fast. coverup is understandable to need, but only if you need it. eyeliner is the makeup that might bug them more. to compromise use your makeup very lightly so it doesn't look like you have a mask on. your mom can show you how to put on eyeliner without making it look heavy.

I was allowed to wear make up when I started 7th grade(12). But I only put on mascara and lip gloss, not too much.

I started wearing base when I was like in the 7th grade?.. But nothing really big until the summer after my 8th grade year. Believe me babe, don't rush too much. Life will be over before we know it. Besides, you don't want to ruin your young skin by wearing a lot of makeup. Save that for when you really do need it. like when you're old! haha.
