Probably because Al-Qaida and Saddam Hussein were NOT CONNECTED IN ANY WAY.

Don't you people read the news? Hasn't this information reached you yet? Saddam Hussein and Al-Qaida are not even from the same place (Al-Qaida is in Afghanistan and Pakistan and Saddam was in Iraq). SO, Al-Qaida probably doesn't give a ****, or are happy because now a secular leader that was against their religious terrorist group, whom they hated, is dead!

I guess this is why Americans weren't as surprised as the rest of the world when their government suddenly turned their attention to Saddam Hussein...they didn't know there was no connection to their "Al-Qaida hunting"...

Interesting.

makes me think nobody in the Middle East cared all that much for Saddam. Terror levels don't seem to have escalated especially... no more massive demonstrations than normal... He was a thug, not a martyr
